My name is Susan Mycroft and I was born in 1962. Our kennel name ‘Supeta’ has been registered with the English Kennel Club since 1989.
I have owned dobermanns since 1985 and to date have owned or bred a total of eleven English Champions, four of which have also gained their Irish Titles. I have also handled two other dobermanns to their titles for their owners. Dobermanns owned or bred by myself have taken a total of 79 CC’s to date and we had Top Dobermann in the UK in 2004 and 2005. 2005 was a particularly good year as I was also Top Breeder and owned and bred the Top Puppy in the breed.
I am currently on the Dobermann Breed Council A3 Breed Specialist list. My first judging appointment was in 1989 at Bridgford & District Canine Society Show. Since then I have judged dobermanns on a regular basis and have judged a total of 513 dobermanns to date. I have been lucky enough to officiate at shows for both the Birmingham & District Dobermann Club and the North Eastern Counties Dobermann Club. In 2003 I judged the Clubmatch for The Dobermannkringgroep Trimunt under the auspices of the D.V.I.N. (Dobermann Vrienden In Nederland) in Holland with an entry of over 40 dobermanns.
Over the years I have also owned and bred Whippets and Japanese Shiba Inu and have handled Russian Black Terriers with a considerable amount of success.
I have judged several other breeds over 4 different groups as follows:
Working Group : Boxers, Great Danes, Newfoundlands, Rottweilers, Leonbergers, Mastiffs
Pastoral Group : Rough Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs, Samoyeds, Bearded Collies, Belgian Shepherd Dogs, Border Collies
Utility Group : Japanese Shiba Inu, Llaso Apso, Shih Tzu, Tibetan Spaniels
